Welcome to the Iglu Under 18 International Student application enquiry hub for the University of Sydney (USyd) and Taylors College.

If you are Under 18, to apply for accommodation at Iglu Redfern there are additional legal restrictions on you, your parents/guardians and on Iglu that do not apply to people over 18. For this reason, there are additional steps in the application process for residents who will be under 18 when they come to live with us because:

  • specific Under 18 Conditions and Rules apply to you
  • we require your parents/guardians to confirm these arrangements for you and sign a guarantee and indemnity.

Our team is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for U18 students while they live away from their families during such a formative life stage. Throughout the journey, from application to orientation to living with us, we have enhanced support in place for U18 students and a dedicated team member is available 24/7, and this is built into our U18 rates at Iglu Redfern.

Accommodation & Rates

University of Sydney and Taylors Collage Under 18 students at Iglu Redfern can choose to live in a share apartment, with their own private bedroom and bathroom, or a premium studio apartment:

  • 6 Bedroom Share Apartment – $659 p/w (Fact Sheet)
  • 4 Bedroom Share Apartment – $684 p/w (Fact Sheet)
  • Premium Studio Apartment – $809 p/w (Fact Sheet)

All Inclusive Living

As part of Iglu’s warm hospitality, we include:

Iglu Redfern University of Sydney and Taylors College Under 18 International Student Application Enquiry Form

To get started, you just need to fill out the Under 18 Application Enquiry below. Once we receive your enquiry, we will be in touch within 48 hours to provide further details on the conditions and requirements.

We offer flexible contracts lengths and you can choose to live with us for 6, 12 or 18 months. Of course, you can keep living with us even after you turn 18!

Important note: As a condition of your Under 18 International Student visa you will not be able to arrive at Iglu more than 14 days prior to your course start date. For this reason, you will need to provide a copy of your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) as part of this application request.
